This self-help book explores signs, patterns, principles, and lessons learned both consciously and subconsciously. You will find that history repeats itself, and the generation thereafter will either suffer or benefit from your life choices. Although we know patterns can be positive or negative. This book focuses on the negative and offers scenarios and signs to look for in preparation of building healthy relationships. It will also allow you to look back on past relationships you have experienced and will afford you the opportunity to self-examine in identifying patterns, moving forward in life.

Take a moment to look beyond the relationship and look at the patterns within it. Addictive Patterns invites you to explore negative and positive relationship patterns. Sometimes the relationship isn’t the only thing that needs examination, the pattern does too.

Change begins with a willingness to look closer. Recognizing recurring patterns, reaching out for support, and understanding the situations that influence your responses can create space for more thoughtful choices. Explore the three reminders below as a starting point for personal reflection.

What keeps repeating?
What are you tolerating?
What are you attracting?
What are you accepting that no longer serves you?

Through personal experiences and observations, Taureca Williams invites readers to recognize negative relationship patterns, reflect on their choices, and consider the lessons passed to future generations.
This book was Amazing. It touched on your physical, mental, and spiritual aspects of dealing with addictive patterns. It causes you to do a self examination with self reflections in between chapters to determine if you are just settling and accepting any type of behavior or are you being respected and treated the way you should be. In addition, above all it taps into your mental state, because through it all our children are watching what we deal with and how we are dealing with it, what’s acceptable and what’s not. It’s a great read also for our young ladies and young men because when you know better, you do better, and we don’t want our offspring to continue the same wrong pattern.
I am a teenager and I read the book and it has taught me life lessons in relationships for later on in life. Most of us teenage girls need strong guidance such as dealing with what we think a guy wants at an early age and we should not sell ourselves short. This book, addictive patterns has really given me a strong hold on trying to date even at an early age because it can become a trap or the other person bad ways towards us teenagers because we are not knowledgeable yet. I encourage all teenage girls to read this very encouraging and positive addictive patterns book.
